March 21 has been declared by the UN as International Day against Racism and Discrimination. This is the day the rebellion of Sharpeville in South Africa was brutally beaten. On March 20 and 21, numerous activities will take place in The Hague to connect people from all over the city and to raise awareness about the importance of combating racism and discrimination.

For example, on Friday 20 March there will be a Youth City Lab where young people between the ages of 16 and 23 will discuss this subject with Alderman Bert van Alphen – click on the image above for details. On March 21 there is a large information market on the Grote Markt and the annual and fantastic world trip through our own city is organized. In short, all fun and interesting activities!
