In the week prior to the International Day Against Racism and Discrimination on 21 March, residents of The Hague show what the diversity of residents in the city means for daily life and the future. For example, young people from The Hague will talk to each other in special debate tents throughout the city and the 'Anders? Well En!' city photo, a group selfie that is as diverse as possible, showing different residents of The Hague. This photo will be published in various media on the International Day Against Racism and Discrimination itself, so on March 20. The event in the Grote Kerk will be presented by DJs Fernando Halman and Morad from youth channel FunX, among others.

The campaign is a collaboration of, among others, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, ROC Mondriaan, Culture Clash 4 U, the Hague Youth Ambassadors and the Municipality of The Hague. They all endorse the importance of diversity. Alderman Rabin Baldewsingh (integration): “Fortunately, The Hague is a city of differences. More than 50% of the city now consists of people with a non-Western background. Being a city together and forming one The Hague only works if you respect each other. Here it is not our origin that counts, but our joint future. There is therefore no room for racism and discrimination.”
