On the night of November 19 to 20, a gunman in Colorado Springs in the US killed five people. This attack on our community – which, coincidentally or not, coincides with Trans Remembrance Day – saddens us.

The five dead and 25 injured are the most recent victims of a long history of violence against the LGBTI+ community. A list that counted at least 375 victims of anti-LGBTI+ violence in 2021. The highest number since the census began in 2013.

We sympathize with the victims, their partners, their community and their families.
