For the first time, Rotterdam is organizing its own Gay Pride. During the weekend from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 September, there are street festivals, city tours and parties.

From the press release: with the Rotterdam Pride the city wants to show everyone what it has to offer and in the run-up to the last weekend the first pop-up locations will open their doors with exhibitions (including Ton of Holland), outdoor exhibitions ( Pride Photo Award) and a temporary Hang-Out (Rainbow City Foundation) for young people.

On Thursday 25 September, the Rotterdam Pride will officially kick off with a sneak preview in the new LantarenVenster, after which the party will kick off over the weekend.

The trusted Keerweer Parade offers the now legendary Dutch sing-along entertainment from Friday to Sunday. From the Eurovision theme on Friday evening, the Drag Idols competition on Saturday afternoon to the Dutch closing on Sunday.

In addition, on Saturday, fans of more upbeat music can visit the Van Oldenbarneveltstraat, where Totally Events host their own stages, Factory 010, where PAPA World Tour will turn the Maasstad upside down and other well-known formats such as YMCGay will be heard. .

You can sniff culture on the Westblaak with various pop-up exhibitions, you can taste it on Sunday on the Van Oldenbarneveltstraat (Rotterdam Proeft!) and experience it at COC Rotterdam, which will be open all weekend.

COC Rotterdam offers a varied program in its own building – Schiedamsesingel 175. An afternoon program starts on Friday in the context of Safe School Rotterdam. At the end of the afternoon, the festive opening of the 'Desires' and 'Gender Diversity' exhibitions will follow. The Friday evening will be concluded with the well-known HIV drink.

Saturday morning starts with breakfast in Café Prague at 10.00:12.00 AM. The exhibitions can then be visited from 15.00 noon. At XNUMX p.m. there will be a premiere of 'The Hidden Life'. There is a drink afterwards. The programs for the elderly on Saturday and Sunday are organized together with Humanitas, Pluspunt and RotterdamV.
