On Friday 11 March, the magazine DUS?! I'm a teenager! presented by De Kleine Ambassade and the municipality of Westland in the ISW Gasthuislaan school in 's-Gravenzande. SO?! has been compiled with a youth editorial team. The magazine is all about puberty. Insecurity, temptations of alcohol and cigarettes, dealing with social media and money, bullying, being different from the rest, changes in your body, but also (homo)sexuality and love, it is all discussed in the articles. The aim of the magazine is to enable children to enter puberty as resiliently as possible.

Presentation
Under the watchful eye of dozens of students, the presentation of the magazine DUS?! held. The festive presentation was kicked off by Maartje Paumen, top hockey player and captain of the Dutch women's hockey team. She unveiled the cover of the magazine. Karin Nederpelt then gave a presentation on a safe sports climate on behalf of the John Blankenstijn Foundation. This was a first step towards an action plan for a safe sports climate in the various branches of sport to prevent discrimination.

Municipality of Westland
The municipality considers it important that young people grow up in a safe and healthy way and supports the associated initiatives. This magazine highlights themes that fit in perfectly with the objectives of the municipal local health policy. The municipality of Westland offers 4000 magazines to students in groups 7 and 8 of primary education and first graders of secondary education.

About the magazine
With SO?! I'm a teenager! De Kleine Ambassade wants to increase the resilience of children. She does this by already giving all pre-adolescents enough knowledge to be able to form their own opinion about all kinds of things that they will encounter during puberty. SO?! helps to discuss topics that play a role in puberty. The magazine is therefore particularly suitable as information material in schools, but also offers parents tools to enter into discussions with their children and make agreements in an open and trusted way. Because De Kleine Ambassade made the magazine together with an editorial team of young people between 11 and 16 years old, it fits in extra well with the perception of the target group. The magazine has also been tested by parents and teachers.
