The Verwey-Jonker Institute investigates how the government, as an employer, dealt with homosexuality in the period 1945-1971.

What kind of policy did municipalities and ministries have? Did they bar candidates because of homosexuality? Or were people fired for that reason? Do you have experience as a job applicant or civil servant (to be)? Have you worked in the human resources department of the local or national government, and memories from that position? Then email the researchers of the Verwey-Jonker Institute at:

or call Tara Jibodh: M: 06-34738648 at the Verwey-Jonker Institute.

We are curious about stories from men and women.
