The call by COC Haaglanden to move the gay monument at Madurodam is supported by the VVD and D66 in the Hague city council.

Now the monument, which is an important symbol for emancipation and the ability to live as a homesexual, is liberated from struggles to be yourself, surrounded by a tram loop. The monument deserves a more prominent place in The Hague, given the growing interest.

Although the area around the gay monument was tackled in 2010 and the toilet house behind the monument was moved, the parties involved want the monument to be moved to a suitable location.
