The Delfland Water Board recently became the first water board to become a member of Workplace Pride. This is a foundation that strives for greater acceptance of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders in the workplace and in society.
'Preview function'
'It is important that employees can be themselves within the organization where they work', emphasizes secretary-director Paul van den Wijngaart of the water board. 'People who can openly admit their sexual orientation within their organization work better and set an example for others. This also benefits the working atmosphere.'
The Canal Parade is next Saturday. The start is at two o'clock at the western end of the Prinsengracht.
