In the context of the Human Rights Week 2021 Human Rights Watch invites everyone to the exclusive Dutch online premiere of I Am Samuel, in cooperation with OUTtv. 

I Am Samuel tells the story of a Kenyan man who moves to Nairobi, where he finds togetherness in a gay community and falls in love with Alex. I Am Samuel is an intimate portrait of a Kenyan man who has to find the balance between family loyalty, love and security and struggles with conflicting identities.  

The Human Rights Week 2021 is an online film festival this year that will be streamed for free throughout the Netherlands from 12 to 14 February. Cardholders also get access to a previously recorded Q&A session with the filmmakers and Human Rights Watch LGBT Rights Associate Director Neela Ghoshal.
