This morning, in the context of International Transgender Remembrance Day, the rainbow flag was raised in front of the city hall in The Hague. Worldwide, between January 1, 2008 and September 30 this year, there were 331 recorded reports of transgender and gender diverse individuals being murdered because of their gender identity. Tonight a modest commemoration will take place at 20:00 in the COC Café at Scheveningseveer 7 in The Hague, in which the names of the victims will be read after a few speeches.
