A new coat of paint

It has been quiet in the COC Café for a long time. The heating off, the cooling off and the door closed. With the renovation in prospect, a reopening seemed a long way off. However, when a leak was detected and the renovation was somewhat delayed, an interim reopening suddenly seemed a realistic prospect again. The volunteers of the bar committee have therefore used this time to tackle a number of small projects to freshen up the bar for a possible reopening.
The biggest change is behind the bar, which has been given a fresh new light pink color. The new color and the clearing of the spirits give off a calm and chic atmosphere. You can now also see that color better because all halogen spots have been replaced by energy-efficient LED lamps.
Although you may have to wait a while before you can see the new bar from the inside, the banner on the terrace is visible from the outside. The new banner is a collage of posters and photos from the rich history of COC Haaglanden. This one was designed in honor of the 75th anniversary that we will be celebrating next year.
We also work on IT. The cash register system has been replaced by a modern touchscreen system and work is being done on a digital menu screen for television.
In this way, each and every one of us is working on a more beautiful COC Haaglanden for all of us. We hope to welcome guests again soon to show you all the innovations and improvements!
It's been quiet at COC recently. The heating off, the coolers quiet and the doors locked. As we awaited the large-scale renovation, a re-opening seemed far away. However, when a leak was noticed and the renovation was halted, opening the doors when restrictions are lifted suddenly seemed much more realistic. As a result, the bar committee volunteers have taken this time to take up a few small projects to freshen up the bar for a potential re-opening.
The biggest change is behind the bar, where a fresh new light-pink coat of paint gives off a calmer and more elegant vibe. A vibe you can experience a little more easily now that all of our halogen spots have been replaced with energy saving LED models. While you may have to wait before you can check out the new bar from the inside, you can already check out the new banner on the patio. The new banner shows posters and pictures from COC Haaglanden's rich history in honor of its upcoming 75th anniversary in 2022.
On top of that, we're also making some improvements to IT. The cash-register has been updated to a modern touch-screen PC and we are working on bringing a digital menu to the tv in the bar to replace the old chalkboard door.
Piece by piece, we're working our hardest to make COC Haaglanden even more beautiful for all of us. We hope to be able to welcome you all again soon to show you all the changes and improvements we've made so far!
