On Friday 10 June at 14.45 pm the rainbow zebra crossing will be officially unveiled by alderman Karsten Klein, chairman COC Haaglanden Arnout van Kooij and initiators, also municipal councilors, Kim Waanders (D66), Arjen Dubbelaar (Groep de Mos) and Arjen Lakerveld (VVD).

The rainbow zebra crossing can be seen from 26 May at the intersection of Prinses Irenestraat and Bezuidenhoutseweg. Popularly known as the New Babylonian Crossroads and the Foreign Office.

One of the initiators and councilor Kim Waanders (D66) emphasizes: “In our city, everyone should be able to be themselves visibly. A rainbow zebra crossing is a place where you literally reflect on the social acceptance of LGBT people.”
