Rainbow Den Haag Foundation and The Hang-Out 070 organize Queering Spirituality: Winti. For this session we have invited the most famous winter priest in the Netherlands. Marian Markelo gives us a glimpse into winti culture and explains how gender and sexuality play a role in this. Marian will explain what is meant by spiritual health in the winti culture. She also demonstrates what you can do to take good care of yourself both mentally and physically.
She has been involved with the winti since she was 14. The Afro-Surinamese religion Winti is based on the belief that Africans took with them when they were put on slave ships across the ocean.
The Surinamese vegan meal is provided by Marian and costs € 6,00 pp.
