On March 29, Rob van Hertum passed away at the age of 74.

Rob has been active in many ways in the Hague LGBTIQ+ movement since the seventies of the last century until very recently: In the Hague Interaction Group Gay Youth (HIG); the Pink Front in The Hague; as a member of the board of the International Gay Monument; as a member of Vox Rosa (from its foundation in 1985); as a bar volunteer and cook in the COC Café.

Rob was also not afraid to put up (wild) posters in the city for, for example, the LHTBIQ+ festival Hagenaers 80 in 1980 and other events with a pink edge. An action that landed him in jail for another night.

We lose a fantastic person in Rob. Rob was an incorrigibly positive face with his happy eyes that will be etched in our memory forever. We wish his partner Hans and loved ones a lot of strength in this loss.
