Presentation 'Stormish Silence, life stories of pink elderly'

On Sunday afternoon, November 10, the book 'Stormacht Stil, life stories of pink elderly' by Eveline van de Putte will be presented in Theater Concordia in The Hague. Under the motto 'Together strong for pink elderly', hostess Dolly Bellefleur, cabaret artist Max Douw, Tanja Ineke (chairman COC Netherlands), Margo Niestadt (Roze50+) and many others provide a festive program with a serious note.

In 'Stormacht Stil' twenty-seven older lesbian women, gay men, bisexuals, transgenders and a 'mother of' have their say. They candidly tell about their stormy (love) life and their lonely struggle to be themselves. A colorful series of portraits, portrayed with respect and integrity by writer and photographer Eveline van de Putte.

This book contributes to knowledge about and emancipation of elderly people in pink, a target group that is increasingly profiling itself within care and welfare. 'Stormacht Stil' is interesting for a wide audience, and inspiring for care providers, nurses and volunteers in care institutions.
