We would like to invite you to attend the raising of the rainbow flag in the courtyard of the provincial government because of Coming Out day.

Members of parliament Geertjan Wenneker and Said Kasmi of D66 will raise the rainbow flag in the presence of Deputy Floor Vermeulen. They will point out the importance of Article 1 of the Constitution. Certainly also for the target group lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT). The province stands for equal rights for LGBT people, including in the workplace.

Initiative
By raising the rainbow flag on Coming Out day, the province is following the initiative of the national government and from 2015 onwards, the rainbow flag will be fluttering every year on 11 October. This year Coming Out day falls on Sunday, which is why the flag will be raised on Monday 12 October.

Contribution
The province is helping to promote the acceptance of the LGBT community with a financial contribution to the Workplace Pride network.
