Pre-announcement of the presentation of the publication 'I am Turkish and I am a lesbian'
Fifteen Turkish girls and women dare to tell their story about their sexual orientation, despite the various barriers they experience in their own environment and within the Turkish community. Their stories are summarized in the publication 'I am Turkish and I am a lesbian'. The purpose of this publication is to make the theme open to discussion and to gain more understanding and attention for the position of these girls and women.

This publication will be presented on 21 September and handed over to the Amsterdam alderman for Education, Diversity and Integration, Ms Kukenheim. Also present: Zeki Arslan (FORUM), Yusuf Altuntas (ISBO) and members of parliament including Keklik Yücel (PvdA), Sadet Karabulut (SP) and subject to reservation Steven Weyenberg (D'66) and some interviewed Turkish girls/women.

The meeting is organized by Stichting Katilim, FORUM and HTIB. You are therefore cordially invited to attend this presentation.
