Wouter Meurs passed away on 2 October in his hometown of Voorburg. From 1988 to 1993, Wouter was administratively involved in the The Hague Department of the COC. As chairman, first of the COC and later of the then foundation board, he was intensively involved in the cooperation between the various groups in Basta (as the café was then called) and with the integration of the activities. Wouter also provided the piano accompaniment in the early days of the Vox Rosa choir. He did all this in addition to his busy work at the Ministry of Justice.

Wouter was a friendly man who was always very accessible to everyone. In addition, he also loved the good things that life had to offer, such as good food and a good glass with it. In his time he has prepared a very tasty Christmas buffet for Basta several times.

Wouter turned 71 years old. Those who knew Wouter will miss him. Our condolences go out to his partner Oswald and other relatives.
