The second will be held in the Zoetermeer town hall on Friday evening 4 March Rainbow Ballot Box Chord signed. Representatives of 5 political parties have pledged to make an extra effort for the LGBTI+ community in the municipality of Zoetermeer.

Marion Tahapary Keislair, chairman of COC Haaglanden: “With this ballot box agreement, we hope that politics will step up its game for the Rainbow Community. Not only do we expect an inclusive municipal policy, but we also have to work actively on safety and anti-discrimination. Young people also need extra support, not only in education, but also in youth care.”

The agreement also includes agreements on supporting vulnerable groups and on visibility. More visibility in society leads to acceptance.

The COC chairman wants to keep his finger on the pulse: “In this ballot box agreement, but also in the recent election debate, parties have promised a lot of things. COC Haaglanden will continue to monitor politics in Zoetermeer to see if they live up to their promises. In two years' time, we will make an interim assessment of the results and then we will visit the parties again."

The Zoetermeer Pink Ballot Box Agreement was signed by CDA, D66, GroenLinks, , PvdA, and VVD.
