Haroon Ali (39) grew up in a religious family with a Pakistani father and a Dutch mother, came out at twenty-one and broke with the faith. These events in his life do not let him go: he wrote about his search for his Pakistani roots in the book 'Half' and now there is the documentary: 'The M-word, about LGBTIQ+ people and faith'. After a short lecture there is room to talk to Haroon Ali.
