  • Adriana van Dooijeweert (voorzitter College voor de Rechten van de Mens);
  • Sandro Kortekaas (voorzitter LGTB Asylum Support);
  • Ricardo Lemmer (voorzitter Black Queer Holland);

Wij vragen ieders begrip hiervoor.

On 4 May we will reflect on the fallen and our freedom. Because of the corona pandemic, this year’s commemoration also has a different character, but we do not want to let this day pass unnoticed. The subject is too important for that.

Especially for #LGBTIQ+ people, the commemoration has an extra charge and meaning, which continues to this day and is very relevant internationally.

The following speakers will participate:

  • Adriana van Dooijeweert (chairperson of the Netherlands College for Human Rights);
  • Sandro Kortekaas (chairperson LGTB Asylum Support);
  • Ricardo Lemmer (chairperson Black Queer Holland);
  • Bert van Alphen (alderman for Emancipation of the city of The Hague).

The online commemoration can be followed on Tuesday 4 May from about 19:30 via the YouTube channel of Internationaal Homomonument: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2g8rU-xV5wzJyVtwegwKfw

The emphatic request is to stay at home this year and not to gather at the monument for the 2 minutes of silence. This in regard to the corona rules. We ask everyone’s understanding for this.
