The members of COC Haaglanden elected Arnout van Kooij as the new chairman of the board on Thursday evening 19 March. Arnout van Kooij works as a program manager and board advisor to the mayor at a municipality in North Holland.

The new chairman introduced himself to the GMM as follows: “First we will collect what is going on with the association and tackle the mission and vision of the association together with the members, volunteers, coordinators, employees and affiliated organizations. That is a process that I will contribute to and also commit to with the board. There are plenty of plans and ideas from the association and a nice process will arise.”

With the new chairman, the COC board is not yet complete. During the same GMM, the treasurer announced that he would not stand for re-election. We are therefore urgently looking for a treasurer.
