Always wanted to do something for your own future? Become an ambassador of Roze 50+ in Zoetermeer!

Pink 50+ is a collaboration of ANBO (the largest Dutch Elderly Association) COC Netherlands, (the advocacy for Lesbian Women, Gay Men, Bisexuals and Transgenders).

Roze 50+ is committed to the position of Pink Elderly in care and well-being and we can't do that alone! There is now a network of 80 voluntary ambassadors: gays, lesbians, bisexuals, straights and transgenders aged 35 to 85. An ambassador is someone who, in a personal capacity, is part of the network of Roze 50+ Nederland, who commits to the tasks (based on interest) that are expected of him or her. The content of your work can vary from entering into discussions with organizations in Zoetermeer such as the municipality, region and department of senior citizens' associations, WMO council and care homes. In short, trying to make the theme “homosexuality and identity” a topic for discussion in sometimes unmentionable settings… But also visibly participating in concrete activities, such as participation at the 50+ fair or the 50+ boat during the Canal Parade or in a stand on Pink Saturday or at a fair in Zoetermeer. Affinity and empathy with the target group is important so that there is involvement. But also the ability to listen, deal with resistance, have a certain degree of diplomacy, be open to criticism, connect with other people, speak in front of a large or small group, pass on signals and report to the project manager. We are looking for people with enthusiasm, persuasiveness, perseverance and a sense of humor!
