Tuesday 17 May 2022 between 19.00 and 21.30 Library Forum organizes a Living Library. How does a transgender feel? And what does the life of a drag queen look like? For the IDAHOT (Day against Homophobia and Transphobia) we are organizing the Living Library, an initiative in which you don't read books, but people.

Never judge a book by its cover: does what we think about people on the basis of the outside match reality? Just like in an ordinary library, where books give you access to unknown worlds, the Living Library offers you the opportunity to step into the experience of another person. In a very simple way: by having an open conversation with each other.

In the Forum you can meet a transgender and war veteran, a trans man, someone who is bisexual, Church Hurt (Homogenezing), an ex-addict, a refugee, a Female Drag Queen, someone who has dealt with domestic violence and parents of a trans boy. They are happy to tell you their life story in an open conversation in which everything can be asked and discussed.

Have you become curious and would you like to talk to these people? Register for free via the website: https://www.bibliotheek-zoetermeer.nl/activiteiten/agenda/LivingLibrary.html
