In the week of the coming out day we will receive the writer Mounir Samuel in the Naaldwijk library on Tuesday 9 October. Mounir Samuel fits perfectly into this week (he was born as a woman, but now a man) and his book Love is a rebellious bird (read last summer, very nice book!) is about all kinds of sexuality. So totally great. Moreover, he is a list writer (so he can be read for the book list in high school).

Writer and journalist Mounir Samuel constantly focuses on the meaning of freedom. During this dazzling lecture, in which he also reads from his own work, he shows the many dimensions of freedom and completely blurs the boundaries of orientation, faith, gender and geography.

Mounir Samuel (1989) is an Egyptian-Dutch political scientist, journalist and author of, among others, the novel Love is a rebellious bird, the young adult novel Dancing on waves of tear gas and his most recent book God is great: eating, praying and loving with Muslims. . The books will be for sale during the evening and will be signed.
