3 years ago, organizer Luuk Wessels decided that a city like The Hague could not be left behind with having a light-pink party, where in addition to gays, lesbians and bisexuals, heterosexuals can also be themselves.
Popcake has grown in 3 years into a nationally known party with which she has put The Hague back on the pink map. “Something I am very proud of, especially in a time like this, the best compliment is a structurally sold-out party, where people like to come back,” says Luuk.
Popcake has ensured the Hague's participation during the Canal Pride in Amsterdam for the past two years. And in 2014, Popcake took home the silver in the 'Most Popular Gay Party' category.
