I hereby invite you to the theme meeting 'Colorful Different Escamp' on November 23. The meeting is organized by the Hague Platform Sexual Diversity (HPSD) with the support of the Escamp district.

The HPSD has been active for some time with the objective of emancipating lesbian women, gay men, bisexuals and transgender (LGBT) within all sections of The Hague Society. There are regular reports on (social) media of intolerance, verbal intimidation and even physical aggression against LGBT people.

The motto of the HPSD is that every resident of The Hague treats a fellow resident with respect and that everyone can be themselves, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, age, religion and sexual preference.  

The Kick-off Colorfully Different The Hague was organized by the HPSD on 3 December 2015 as a starting signal to give more concrete form than before to the principles laid down in the Hague Emancipation Memorandum regarding sexual diversity in the city districts. COC Haaglanden, Stichting Rainbow Den Haag, St.Vobis/ Hindustani, PEP The Hague, Mil Colores, Africa Life Foundation, Dab Der, IBS (Interreligious Beraad Segbroek) and IPS (Intercultural Platform Segbroek) participate in the HPSD.

Goal meeting
The purpose of the meeting is to brainstorm with organizations active in Escamp in the field of care, welfare, education, sports, migrants and the elderly about the implementation of (joint) activities aimed at making sexual diversity a topic of discussion and acceptance in the community. especially among (bi-cultural) residents of The Hague.

Increasing the acceptance of sexual diversity touches on various themes in the neighborhood programmes: quality of life, safety, social cohesion, education and care.
