The famous Hague Women's Choir de Heksenketel sings again this year with full blast. Every year we give a few performances as part of the 'Singing choirs for the elderly' project of Fonds 1818. But this year we are also making considerable progress outside the care institutions. In April, for example, we were in THE pop temple of The Hague, het Paard, at the Haags Korenfestival. In addition to an enthusiastic performance of our own, we also had the opportunity to listen to other choirs and of course these choirs also came to listen to us. On May 4, as usual, we gave our musical cooperation to the commemoration of the dead at the International Gay Monument at the Koekamp. An impressive meeting, this time with guest speaker Vera Bergkamp, who can look forward to greater interest and more organizations laying wreaths every year. In May we took part in the BALKfestival in Noordwijk. Our two performances there were highly appreciated by the public, but also judged by a professional jury, which gave us a few valuable tips. Singing was a joy to do and listening to other choirs always yields new ideas. Finally, on September 24 we will perform during a choir festival in the Zuiderparktheater in The Hague. For example, 2017 is an intensive but fun performance year for which we have been inspired by a choreographer and where our clothing committee ensures that we look picobello every time.

Have you become curious about us and our repertoire by reading this piece and do you want to attend a rehearsal or become a member right away?
