The Hague – The Hague Popcake party will participate in the Canal Pride in Amsterdam on 2 August. The 'hetero-friendly party' Popcake is taking part in a scent boat.This means that no smoke comes out of the machines, but smell. 'A scent of cake, candy and sweets', says initiator Luuk Wessels. If the wind is right, spectators along the quay should be able to smell the sweet scent. That's not the only special thing about Popcake's boat. The Vengaboys, a popular music group in the 90s, performs.

Popcake is organized six times a year on the 42nd floor of the Penthouse in The Hague. 'Heterofriendly' means that non-gay people can also have a good time at the parties. That thought should also radiate the Popcake boat. Luuk Wessels: 'We are from The Hague, so no Amsterdam madness with transvestites, leather and wigs.'
