It is with regret that the board of COC Haaglanden announces the death of one of our members, Mr Frederik Sachs. We have been able to know Frederik as a cordial personality who took great interest in his fellow man. As a member of our association, he was not absent from our meetings and when his health did not allow him to attend, he politely sent a message to the secretary to apologize. Because Frederik took his involvement seriously, although due to his advanced age he no longer really had the strength to discuss it. Being present was the least he could do, he said. After the death of his husband two years ago, he preferred not to be home alone all day in his house in Bezuidenhout. That is why Frederik has been a regular guest at the COC Café ever since, even more than before. Sometimes several times a week he undertook the trip to the Scheveningseveer. For a cup of coffee, a conversation, to read the magazines and have dinner with us in the evening. We are happy that we could offer him this, Frederik was a valued member of our association. He will be missed.
