Sanam V Voorthuijsen passed away on Saturday 11 August 2018. This unexpected and sad news also reached COC Haaglanden, where Sanam was regularly seen at activities.

Sanam was a Hindu Surinamese LGBTQA activist with great commitment and enthusiasm. He has, among other things, written the book 'My life in quicksand'. The community will miss him!
